Why we shoot the way we do and why you should think about it…
Sure…photos are commonly done once a year in preparation for a killer holiday card. However, to us, these photos are a part of your family legacy. They’re one more tangible thing to remember the moments in your life…not just what you looked like.
At the end of our lifetimes what do our loved ones have left of us? Photos and stories. Any time we get to put those together, we’re down.
Types of sessions.
We offer a variety of sessions for you to choose from! We’ve tried to keep the pricing very simple! However, should you have any questions at all, don’t hesitate to ask!
Portrait Session
A standard portrait session can be of you and your immediate family (whatever that looks like to you), your children, your dogs…you get the point. Offered in-studio or on location.
Option 1: $150 sitting fee + ala carte prints and files
Option 2: $400 flat fee + includes digital files to your final collection of images
Extended Family Portrait Session
For larger groups and extended families (think grandma, siblings, cousins…the whole gamut). We’ll photograph your large family and break it down into the desired groups you need. Offered outdoors only.
$500 flat fee + includes digital files to your final collection of images
Front Porch Session
Literally on your front porch. This 30 minute session is the perfect keepsake for your family!
$300 flat fee + includes digital files to your final collection of images
Day in the Life
Documenting a day in your every day life. You as you are. Jammies and all! Curious? Send us an email and we’ll walk you through it! Highly recommended to do once a year to create volumes of your life!
$650 flat fee + 3 hours of documenting your real, ordinary life. Includes digital files + 8x8 album
Mini Sessions
We select three dates in the fall/winter that are first-come-first-serve. Mini sessions are 15 minutes of pure joy. Sign up for our newsletter to get notified of those dates!
$150 flat fee + 15 digital files
Babies First Year
3 session package. Sessions will be done as a newborn, six month old, and one year. Variety of locations available.
$1,050 flat fee + includes digital files to your final collection of images for each session
Fresh 48
Meet and greet at the hospital after your delivery! Perfect for when siblings or grandparents meet the new baby. Approximately 1 hour session.
$350 flat fee + includes digital files to your final collection of images
Santa Clause
You read that right. We know Santa Clause. He comes into our studio in the early days of December. We know…we’re the luckiest.
Complimentary session with the big guy. Digital files and prints ala carte.
Senior Portraits
We love to keep senior portraits simple and timeless. Approximately 1-ish hours of shoot time and 3 outfits in our Dundee studio and surrounding area.
Option 1: $150 sitting fee + ala carte prints and files
Option 2: $400 flat fee + includes digital files to your final collection
Headshots
We think everyone should have a basic and modern headshot (think LinkedIn or even your online dating profile #matchmakers). Shot in-studio.
$100 flat fee + includes 5-10 digital files
How do we book a session?
Now this is the important part!
At the bottom of this info page you’ll find a contact form! Complete that form and you’ll be on your way to booking your session!
Once your form has been received, we’ll send an electronic contract to you via email. Once a date has been selected for your session, a $150 non-refundable retainer is required to reserve us for your date. We’ll get you hooked up with a payable online invoice that is due before the start of your shoot. You can easily make payments towards your session whenever it is convenient for you. We love checks but credit cards are also accepted.
If you need to reschedule, we do our best to accommodate new session dates for you up to 2 times.
What should we wear for our session?
It is always best to wear something you feel good in and reflects who you are right now. If you are in a group make sure you go together but don’t necessarily match. Babies are best in simple onesies. Still don’t know? Send us a message and we’ll help you!
Where will we shoot our session?
If your session is one that can be done on-location, we will work together to find a place that suites your family, vision, and aesthetic! We will have your location decided 1 week prior to your shoot. Do you love nature? An urban feel? A family farm or cabin? Does your family love bowling or mini golf? Let’s dream it up together!
When will we shoot our session?
We generally DO NOT shoot portraits on Saturdays and Sundays due to our wedding schedules. Planning for a weekday in the morning or early evening is generally the golden ticket! Because lighting is a significant part of what makes our work beautiful, we will often suggest times that work around sunrise and sunset. Yes, sunrise is nearly as beautiful, if not more beautiful, that the evening light. Consider it! We also highly suggest exploring early out and no school days!
Seniors are photographed during the week and most often shot in the early spring and summer months.
My session includes files. How does that work?
Your files will be delivered to you via digital download roughly 3 weeks after your session. You will be obtaining a personal print release allowing you to print whatever you want, wherever you want. Your online, downloadable gallery will be available for 60 days before it expires. From there, should you choose to print on your own, we highly recommend using www.mpix.com. You do have the option to print through us, however.
How does a session work?
We are pretty relaxed girls! We are going to let kids be kids. We are great at capturing those in-between moments you’ll never expect. We know you want smiling happy faces..we’ll get them! Expect to play, tickle, get on the ground and in the elements if needed. It should be a fun and interactive experience.
Also, we’re moms! We “get it”. We 100% understand the stress of coordinating a portrait session, kids having “a moment”, and random things that happen. We PROMISE you’ll have great stuff…even if you think it was a disaster. We’re ol’ pros at this.
