Ben + Amanda's Iowa Wedding

Glenwood, Iowa

Ben and Amanda had a gorgeous and full-of-life wedding just east of Omaha at the Bodega Victoriana Winery in Glenwood, Iowa. Their day was centered around what they loved. Color, art, life, and travel. They didn’t have just a color palate for their wedding...they straight up had color. Knowing this was a really fun goal and challenge for us! We wanted to incorporate color with intention in as many ways as possible when we were making their photos! Not only was this a fun way to challenge ourselves, but it was incredibly inspiring. Color feels like LIFE to us! A gorgeous, colorful bouquet by one of our faves, Loess Hills Floral, colorful bridesmaid dresses, colorful post-ceremony wands...color everywhere.

Ben and Amanda planned such a special and meaningful ceremony and celebration. After their bridal attendants walked down the aisle, their flower girl threw dried flower petals on the ground from all of the bouquets Ben had ever given her. If that’s not a romantic beginning to the most important walk of your life together, then I don’t know what is. With the golden sun beaming on Amanda and Ben, Ben’s father married them choking back tears of happiness. There’s nothing quite as special as being married by a parent. We can only imagine how special that was for Ben’s parents.

After their ceremony there was a delicious meal catered by Table Grace, an incredible ministry. Tacos, Thai food, macaroni bar....all the things and we loved them all. Our personal favorite was the donut station (obviously) made by the incredible Sweet Magnolias Bake Shop. We’re still dreaming of the Pistachio Cream and Aunt Karen’s Wedding Cake donuts.

Pink Kadillac sang us into the evening and we watched everyone dance their feet off. It was so fun to watch everyone pull each other onto the dance floor and cut loose for the evening!

Ben and Amanda, thank you so much for having us be a part of your day! You truly inspired us. We wish you a life full of color, love, and adventure!
