Jordan and Lizzie had such a fun wedding in Lincoln, Nebraska! I gotta say, my friends...this wedding season has been wild. We’ve had more random, hilarious, and amazing things happen this year, and we’re living for it. But I’ll get to that in a minute.
I first me Jordan and Lizzie through the divine Italian Restaurant they neighbors our studio, Avoli Osteria. If you haven’t been, please go.
We had an awesome time doing their engagement session in front of, and inside, the restaurant where they met and fell in love, followed by photos at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo, a favorite place of theirs.
Jordan and Lizzie had a beautiful wedding ceremony at St. Johns Church in Lincoln, NE. A church that Jordan’s family has been attending since he was a kid. It was fun to hear their officiant talk about Jordan as a teenager and athlete. It certainly added some personal flare.
After their ceremony they greeted their guests, and the best thing ever happened. Chef Dario, the owner of the restaurant they work at, tossed them the keys to his Tesla, and let them take it for a spin around the block. What?! Obviously, I hopped in the back seat. To say Jordan and Lizzie lit up is a total understatement.
Once we got back from cruising the block “at very slow speeds”, a fire truck was waiting for us! Apparently the night before, Lizzie told her uncle, a Lincoln Fireman, that he should bring a fire truck to the church. And so he did. I felt like a kid in a candy store! I think everyone did. It was amazing. And hilarious. And wonderful.
Once all the exciting vehicles and surprises simmered down, we did a little portrait time around Lincoln and made some serious art. I could photograph these two any day. They love each other hard and are not shy to show it. They also complete embraced any wild idea I had...even when I hovered 15’ above them while lying on a grate that covered a stairwell. It was “totally safe”. I swear.
Their wedding reception venue in Lincoln was at the Apothecary Lofts in the Haymarket. This is such a unique and cozy spot and was perfect the party that was about to go down. And by party, I mean, there wasn’t a spare inch on the dance floor and it was incredible.
Jordan and Lizzie, congratulations! You guys are the absolute sweetest and we had the best time with you! Keep making memories together and live a wild life!
