Derek and Sarah's Omaha Barn Wedding

Ackerhurst Dairy Farm - Omaha, Nebraska

Derek and Sarah are such a FUN couple to be around. They are absolutely hilarious and make you feel like a long-lost friend.

They had a lovely ceremony with their closest friends and family at The Omaha Barn at the Ackerhurst Dairy Farm in Bennington, Nebraska. If you haven't been to this awesome renovated wedding venue in Omaha, then you're missing out. Truly. It's STUNNING. They have the most beautiful rooms for getting ready and a "man cave" that is sure to be the perfect place for a relaxed groom. Plenty of space for a party of any size, and it's so photogenic we could cry.

Sarah's excitement on their wedding day was simply infectious. Being around her and her mom as she got ready was fantastic. They laughed and cried so much together that we could hardly contain ourselves! These two have such a special bond and it was a a joy to be around. I wish we would have kept a tally on how many times Sarah exclaimed, "I'm getting married today!" It was so cute. There's never been a more excited bride! Sarah also has the absolute sweetest friends that cried and cried when they saw her in her wedding dress for the first time. They were so excited to see their dearest friend get married. Tears for days.

Derek and his groomsmen had a pretty leisurely afternoon getting ready in The Omaha Barn's man cave. Fit with football on the television, foosball games, beers, and fireball. My kind of afternoon if you ask me.

Their wedding ceremony was performed by one of our local Omaha favorites, I Tie Knots. They always do such a good job of making their ceremonies personal to each couple.

The Barn was decorated beautifully with flowers by Piccolo's Florist, had delicious food by Catering Creations, and one of our most favorite wedding cakes by Cupcake Island. There were sweet moments between each them and their parents and the evening shifted to a pretty great dance party. It was SO fun watching all of their guests celebrate with each other. Everyone was greeted with hugs and a good pull to the dance floor.

Sarah and Derek, you guys were SO fun to be around and we're thrilled that we got to spend the day with you! We look forward to seeing your love grow!
